If you’re searching for a high chair with staying power, look no further! The Stokke Tripp Trapp literally grows with your child from infancy to adulthood. Designed with sustainability in mind, the Tripp Trapp can support up to 300 pounds. The key to the Stokke Tripp Trapp’s utility is its adjustable seat and footrest. Adults naturally rest their feet on the ground when sitting, but child-sized legs dangle from seats, resulting in a lack of balance and support. The Tripp Trapp’s adjustable footrest provides stability and allows children to shift their weight to promote good posture and optimal comfort. To seat teens and adults, simply remove the footrest and adjust the seat for proper positioning.

The Stokke Tripp Trapp’s unique design places your child directly at table-height, allowing her to participate in mealtime with the rest of your family. Plus, unlike traditional high chairs, the Tripp Trapp’s footprint is the same as a typical chair, and the base slides underneath your table, maximizing space and making your dining area safe and clutter-free.

With its beautifully modern and minimalist design, the Stokke Tripp Trapp comes in multiple finishes to either complement your dining furniture or make a fun statement. The Tripp Trapp is made out of eco-friendly cultivated beech wood that is durable and easy to clean for years—no, make that decades—of use.

I bought my son the new (and so-called improved) version of this chair and I was very disappointed. What a pain it was to assemble it only to have to take it apart and lug it back to the store. It's a beautiful chair, but it's not safe for babies that require the rail. My son was only 6 months old at the time, and he's a slender kid; no rolls on him. I had a very difficult time getting him in and out of the chair. The only way to do that was to remove the rail every time which is not an easy task. I couldn't slip him in or out. What scared me was what if my son was choking and I couldn't get him out of the chair fast enough. The rail on the older version was a little better because it was larger and provided more clearance for the baby's legs. Unless you can get your hands on the Tripp Trapp before they modified it, you can't use the "old" rail on the new chair. I was disappointed that we couldn't keep it because it was so beautiful. I hate the fluffy, puffy, colorful chairs out there and this one fit our tastes perfectly. We may revisit the chair when he's older, but for now we went with a Bloom chair.

I've wanted one of these chairs since my first son was a baby, but I never wanted to spend so much money on one. I now have 4 kids and our dining room table is filled! I decided to buy 2 of these chairs to stick on the ends of the table b/c it's cheaper than buying a whole new dining room table and 6 new chairs! Anyhow, the chair is made of a solid wood. It came in a very compact package and required some assembly but it was fairly easy. The surface wipes off easily which is good b/c my 21 month old son likes to smear his food all over it. I did not purchase a baby rail yet, but did get the seat pad, but have decided not to use it for now. I don't use the harness straps for my DS b/c he can climb easily in and out of the chair by himself. But I left them on in case I need them. I'm looking forward to being able to use this chair for a long time. It seems like it will be easy to adjust and will hold up over time.

We bought this chair for our 3 1/2 year old and she loves it. It is so sturdy and made with quality. She can easily get in and out of it as well as pull herself towards the table. This chair is well worth the money and we can't wait to but one for our 1 year old.

I love how you can adjust this chair depending on height and depth. I like how's it's not bulky like many of those high chairs. Most importantly, I love how my 1 year old joins us at the dinner table. There's nothing like it! There may be other competitor chairs that try to duplicate, so I encourage you to get it in color! The Tripp Trapp comes in so many FUN colors. I chose orange and am really happy with it. It adds a spash of warmth to my kitchen and many of my guests complement how cool the chair looks. It's a breeze to clean, just wipe down with a damp soapy cloth!

i just want to begin by saying that i'm a bleeding heart liberal with solar panels and homeschool tendencies - i LOVE the idea of the tripp trapp. but my experience has been much different. believe me, i tried very hard to like this chair. we bought this high chair against all advice from our parents (no tray??), spouting stuff about 'family meals' and kids sitting at the table, and everything else stokke says about this chair. we've been proven wrong on every count: our daughter started pushing herself away from the table at six months, so a regular chair with tray would have been fine. the foot plate is a great idea in theory, but she just uses it to stand on. the straps do not adjust as she grows, and are incredibly difficult to change while she's sitting in the chair - the only way to adjust with any accuracy. the cushions are useless, as they get dirty every time she eats and are difficult to remove and put back on. the adjustability of the seat is a nice idea, but who can remember where that little allen wrench got to amid the clutter of regular family life? i have found this chair more frustrating than useful - and none of what stokke claims has proven true in our case. my friends also have one and forget about the chair being useful as kids get older: like most kids, their son wanted to eat at the table like a big kid at around age two and a half. since then their high chair has sat empty. so much for that utopian idea. we are ashamed to have believed the stokke marketing. this is the single worst purchase we've made since becoming parents, and was a huge waste of money. if i could do it over, i'd buy that thirty dollar aluminum and vinyl jobbie i saw at salvation army and save the rest.

This is not your ordinary high chair! While it may look simple, it's doing far more good than the eye can see. We heard about this chair from my daughter's OT therapist. She said it's great for helping kiddos build their core because of the design and the way their feet can solidly rest on the adjustable foot rest shelf. We got the Lime one and it's really fun. All of our friends ask about it.

First, I must say that ordering from baby-Wise was great. I placed my order on Sunday night and everything arrived on Friday. On Saturday, we assembled the chair and I was so excited that I gave our 5 and a half month old a test run in it (with the cushion and baby rail). She loves sitting in her chair. It's intended for 6-months and up, but our daughter is very tall and she is able to sit up independently already (if she couldn't do those things, I would have waited). We haven't started giving her solids yet, but at dinner time, I give her a cup, a spoon, a cloth napkin or sometimes some crushed ice to play with. It is such a joy to have her at the table with us! Since she is so little still, I never leave her unattended in it, even though the straps and rails seem pretty good at holding her in. The chest fastener piece on the safety straps is a bit difficult to secure, but I think it might get easier with repeated use. This was the only piece of baby furniture that *I* really wanted. I love that it comes in great colors (ours is red..very red!), it grows with the child, it is not made of plastic and it's not made in China. It's definitely well worth the money since we'll probably use it every day (2-3 times/day) for the next 5 years or more! Did I mention that it's just beautiful?!

This chair was recommended by my son's occupational therapist to help with keeping him seated at the table. He is 2 1/2 and no longer fits in traditional chairs so we decided to try this. WE LOVE IT!!! He loves that he can get into it himself and he will sit for much longer than in the past.. the color choices ensures you will find something that you love- we purchased walnut and it completely matches our dining room set- we got many compliments on Easter by family! Definitely worth every penny, very sturdy and will last the long haul!!!

Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair

If there is one common trait among modern baby products, it's multifunction. Once notorious for being bulky and having a short lifespan, baby products and furniture are being redesigned to please today's parents who prioritize utility, efficiency, and quality. The Stokke company prides itself on offering built-to-last baby products designed with the changing needs of children in mind, and the Tripp Trapp high chair is no exception. The Stokke Tripp Trapp was launched in the 1970s as a revolutionary alternative to the traditional high chair. Its designer, Peter Opsvik, created the chair after noticing how uncomfortable his son was after he outgrew his high chair but was still too small for an adult chair. Seeing his son's dangling feet and frustration in not being able to reach the family table, Opsvik was inspired to create the Stokke Tripp Trapp, an innovative high chair that would allow children of all sizes and ages to sit at the family table with elbows at table height.

The Stokke Tripp Trapp is designed for use once a child can sit upright unassisted, usually around 6 months. Because the Stokke Tripp Trapp is fully adjustable in both height and depth, it is the first high chair that can actually grow with your child - and not just through the toddler years. The Stokke Tripp Trapp's patented design can safely support up to 300 pounds! The key to the Tripp Trapp's functionality is the adjustable seat and footrest. Adults naturally rest their feet on the ground when sitting, but child-sized legs dangle from seats, resulting in a lack of balance and support. The Tripp Trapp's adjustable footrest provides stability for even the tiniest of tots, allowing them to shift their weight to promote good posture and optimal comfort. The adjustable seat features a double-curved seat back that is ergonomically designed to give full support without placing stress upon your child's developing spine.

The Stokke Tripp Trapp's unique design places the child directly at table-height, allowing the family table to serve as a high chair tray. Many experts agree that gathering around the dinner table promotes family interaction. For a child, sitting at adult-height can bolster confidence and help develop social skills, such as good eating habits and language development. Plus, unlike traditional high chairs that take up your entire kitchen, the Tripp Trapp's sturdy base slides underneath your table to maximize space.

The Stokke Tripp Trapp includes a five-point safety harness and, for young babies, an optional baby rail accessory provides additional security. The Tripp Trapp is constructed out of renewable, environmentally friendly beech wood that is solid and durable, yet easily wipes clean. The high chair is available in a variety of colors and finishes that will match any home, and its seven-year warranty offers piece of mind for trouble-free use. For added comfort for your child, the Stokke Tripp Trapp Cushion provides padding for the seat and seat back and is available in seven attractive color schemes.

The Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair has won multiple awards in Europe and the U.S. for its innovative design and was recently named as a "mommy must-have" by Martha Stewart Living. For a stylish piece of furniture that can literally grow with your child from infant to adult, the Stokke Tripp Trapp is a great investment - this is one baby product that will never see a garage sale or resale shop!
